Licensing policy

Trial version, features and activation

The trial version only allows you to run the software, not to use specific features. All functions that can be run require a license.

The license is automatically associated with the computer after logging in, and from then on the license becomes active. The license can be disconnected and associated with a new computer in every 48 hours, as specified hereunder (https://chimeratool.cn/docs/how-many-computers-can-be-used-on-your-license).

Mobile devices

Mobile devices shall mean all mobile phones or other devices supported by ChimeraTool.

Updates

All updates are available free of charge, including major updates, but please note that updates may include newly introduced paid processes and features.

Subscription packages

The price of subscription packages is determined for each license purchased. A license space usually means an activated copy of the ChimeraTool on a Windows computer. Subscription packages include all major and minor updates.

The following subscription packages are available:

  • ChimeraTool Basic- For people who repair a low quantity of phones each week, but do not work on more than 100 phones in a year.
  • ChimeraTool Professional - For businesses fixing a medium quantity of phones each week, up to 1500 a year. Includes more computer slots and bonuses.
  • ChimeraTool Premium- Great for big businesses fixing a high number of phones each week, with more computer slots and larger loyalty bonuses.

The packages have the following properties as explained below:

Chimera Basic license:

The Basic Plan is ideal for small repair shops or individuals and costs $99.9 USD or 999 credits annually. It includes up to 100 phone connections, no procedure credit discounts, and a bonus of 1 week license validity if you extend it before expiry, but no additional credits are included. You can attach up to 8 different computers a year, and it includes 10 IMEI checks. However, to this licence you can't connect a USB Authenticator. More than 30 brands of mobile devices are supported with this plan. Priority customer support is not included.

Chimera Professional license:

The Professional Plan is our most popular option for medium-sized businesses and costs $149.9 USD or 1,499 credits annually. It includes up to 1,500 phone connections, a 10% procedure credit discount, and a bonus of 2 weeks license validity and 100 credits if you extend it before expiry. You can attach up to 24 different computers a year, and it includes 50 IMEI checks. The USB Authenticator can be connected to this license, adding extra portability to your repairs. More than 30 brands of mobile devices are supported with this plan. Priority customer support is not included.

Chimera PREMIUM:

The Premium Plan is designed for large businesses with high repair volumes and costs $189.9 USD or 1,899 credits annually. It includes up to 5,000 phone connections, a 15% procedure credit discount, and a bonus of 3 weeks license validity and 150 credits if you extend it before expiry. You can attach up to 32 different computers a year, and it includes 100 IMEI checks. The USB Authenticator can also be connected to this license for even greater convenience. More than 30 brands of mobile devices are supported with this plan. This plan also includes priority customer support, giving you faster assistance whenever needed.

Refunds

Refunds may be granted on a discretional basis if the Software repeatedly fails to operate or cannot be installed, provided that every reasonable means to correct the issue has been applied. In such cases, the licensee should open a ticket to notify the customer service of ChimeraTool about the issue and should provide all the necessary details to ensure that all possible means to solve the problem have been exhausted. Refund requests will only be processed within 14 days of purchase.

Refund terms:

ChimeraTool software

  • Under the terms of our Refund Policy, you may be entitled to a full refund within 30 days of the date of purchase, unless the reasons you give contradict the terms of the Refund Policy.
  • After this period, no refund is possible.
  • Refund can only apply to primary (first) ChimeraTool subscriptions.
  • If you have more than one subscription, no refund is possible.
  • You can only claim a refund once. If later you purchase ChimeraTool once again, the repeated claim for refund is not justified.
  • Software purchased at a discounted price is non-refundable.
  • For subscription renewals there is no refund

 

Force majeure

No refund will be given to ChimeraTool customers if the reasons for the refund are completely outside our control. These are the following:

  • The target computer no longer has Internet access.
  • The customer does not follow the installation guidelines provided by our customer service.
  • The customer does not have administrator privileges on the target computer.
  • If the customer expected to use ChimeraTool on more than one target device when he or she purchased only one subscription.
  • Personal reasons (‘I changed my mind’, ‘I purchased it by accident’, etc.).
  • Fear of us going out of business permanently is not a reasonable reason to claim a refund. Even if the company was to go out of business, the server and domain would continue to run smoothly for years to come, as it is already paid and registered for the following years.

Enhanced features

  • Customers should accept the fact that these features will cost extra credits, even if the process fails due to a software error (in this case, the credits will be automatically refunded within two hours)
  • In many cases, the failure of the process (related to enhanced features) is caused by the hardware of the phone, not its software. We cannot fix hardware errors, we provide solutions for software errors, so there is no justification for a refund claim in these cases.
  • If you contact our customer service and provide them with your work ID, they will be able to determine whether the problem is hardware or software related.

 

Environmental dependence of Android and other manufacturers

In case of major changes in the software or hardware of the Mobile device manufacturer, ChimeraTool cannot guarantee that the features will remain operational, and it shall not be liable for any damages resulting from partial or total loss of compatibility.

Griff Gate Ltd. is not obliged to provide compatibility updates for beta versions of Mobile Device manufacturers and is not expected to provide technical support to users who install beta software. However, we usually quickly update our software and our technical support team welcomes reports from users.
