With this release, we are adding support for a large number of Realme Qualcomm devices that no other tool has been able to service in EDL mode before. These models normally require authenticated programmers, which means traditional tools can only handle them through online verification. With Chimera, this limitation does not apply. You can service all supported Realme Qualcomm devices fully offline using your existing Chimera licence. So you see what we’re talking about — here is a huge update with some of the stuff we’ve been working on silently lately. MTK Revamp With World-First SoC support We’re excited to share that Chimera now offers broader support for MTK devices powered by the MT6991 and MT6899 chipsets. Device detection is fully supported with DAs compiled up to January 2025, and in most cases, even beyond. Our new development affects older models as well: Chimera can now provide a broader level of support for the whole range of MTK devices. Newly Supported Models:

MTK UFS RPMB Region Support We’ve expanded our MTK capabilities with full support for UFS RPMB regions. Chimera can now detect and manage multiple RPMB partitions (0–3), and these regions can now be saved and restored securely, ensuring reliable data handling across a wider range of devices. MTK DA Chooser We’ve introduced a new chooser feature that lets users load and use their own DA files. This makes device connections faster and more flexible, especially when working with dozens or even hundreds of the same model one after another. MTK Flash - File Selector Filters We refined the filtering options in the MTK flash interface, making it easier and faster for you to find the relevant files when flashing your devices. MTK Flash - Region Dependant Super Partition We discovered that in certain cases our MTK flash procedure could fail when flashing the super partition. We identified the root cause, fixed the issue, and now the flash procedure works reliably. Bypass IT Admin Lock — New Method We’ve updated our procedure for IT Admin Lock bypass. This new method improves reliability while preserving user data and keeping Play Store functionality intact, so you can unlock devices without affecting the user experience. The procedure is available in ADB mode. EUB Network Factory Reset — CHA Carrier Added Our EUB Network Factory Reset procedure has been extended to support the CHA carrier, broadening network reset coverage. Samsung MTK Fixed a detection issue when connecting SM-A156E using Device Wizard Magisk Fixed an issue where Magisk v29.0 could not be used. Previously, procedures requiring root would fail if Magisk v29.0 was installed. This has now been resolved — users can successfully use Magisk v29.0, including advanced features like root hiding and other enhanced Magisk modules.

MTK Improvements Added support for MTK preloader mode on devices, where the bootrom mode is not available. Chimera automatically tries to switch the connected device to bootrom mode and detects if it fails. After that, you can push the Try a different method button on the dialog shown and Chimera will try to initiate a connection to the device in preloader mode. The following devices are supported*:

Dynamic Harmony Cable by Chimera Certain Huawei models at certain firmware level need a so-called Harmony Cable if you want to access the phone in factory mode. Using Chimera and the Dynamic Harmony Cable you will be able to handle the PC-phone communication without removing and reinserting the USB cable. This will save you time during the procedure, it also reduces errors due to forgotten or wrongly executed cable insertion. New features and improvements:

The new solution uses Oppo programmers from the official firmware packs, which are named like "prog_firehose_ddr_fwupdate.elf". If Chimera can't provide you a suitable programmer you can look inside a firmware pack and pick one manually. You can use Chimera's own Firmware Extractor (Utility) for this. Be aware that the procedure can take a long time to execute (10-15 minutes) and removing the phone during the process will make the phone unable to boot. This long process usually happens only once on a device. You're welcome to post your experience and results to our thread on GSM-Forum. Please also share the model names for every successful procedure! |

ChimeraTool est une application simple et compréhensive qui peut être utilisée déjà après une installation rapide. Nous avons réduit le processus de configuration au minimum, ainsi les pilotes additionnels et les fichiers requis ne sont téléchargés automatiquement que dans le cas où un processus particulier les demande. L’opération de ChimeraTool ne nécessite pas de compétences ou de formations préalables particulières ; les débutants sont plus que bienvenus !
